Stuart Sapcote, Chairman
Buildings are in Stuart’s blood. Generations of his family were in the industry and a very young Stuart was being taken around building sites when most boys were being taken to the park. “I’ve always been fascinated by buildings and by age twelve I realized that I wanted to work with them in some way. So I founded Sapcote Developments on the back of an obsession - and a desire to do things better and differently.
Best decision ever made: Always employing people that are cleverer that me.
Best thing about you: My attention to detail and my energy for the job. I know that’s two things but there have to be some perks of being chairman.
Favourite Sapcote Development: One of the first developments we ever undertook - some 15th Century Thatched Cottages in Warwickshire. We won a European Heritage Award for our work which increased my passion for restoration.
Favourite old building: The Louvre in Paris.
Last thing you recycled: Some televisions. Maybe we’ll get fewer repeats on the new ones.
